Changes
Parties from multiple households must now sit outside. We can only seat groups from the same household inside the pub. Customers must wear masks at all times when they are not seated.
Reservations
We are now taking reservations for indoor and outdoor tables, but we will also keep tables for walk-ins both indoors and in the garden.
We have worked hard to make our garden as accommodating as possible so that parties from mixed households can socialise throughout the colder months. We have maximized the number of tables that are under shelter and have plenty more heaters available.
Please note, we are only able to take reservations or walk-ins for parties of a maximum size of 6.
Fully Seated
The Plough is now be a fully seated establishment both inside the pub and in the garden. Customers will be greeted at the front door and led to a table.
If we don’t have a table when you arrive you will be placed on a waitlist and we will take your number and text you when a table becomes available. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to wait in the pub.
Track and Trace
For guests that don’t have a reservation we kindly ask that you leave your details on our online check-in form that is available when you arrive at the pub and on the front of our menus.
The QR code to scan in on the NHS track and trace app is also printed on the front of our menus and on signs at the entrance of the pub.
Opening times
Our new opening times are:
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 9.15pm
Saturday & Sunday 10am – 9.15pm
Our kitchen closes at 8.45pm every night.
Please note, it is now mandatory that everyone is off the premises by 10pm.
Menu
We will be serving a reduced menu for the time being, but plan to expand the menu as soon as we are able to. There will still be options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diners, but as our general menu is restricted, these too will be limited for now.
Menus will be wiped after each use and also have a QR code printed on them to give you access to the ordering system via the camera on your phone.
In the short term we will not be offering our 2-4-1 deals.
On Sundays only, we will be serving roast dinners from 1pm and chicken wings from 5pm.
Hygiene & Customer Flow
There are multiple sanitiser stations around the pub.
We now have a separate entrance and exit to assist with social distancing.
Every time a table is cleared, the table and chairs are wiped down with sanitiser spray and a fresh cutlery pot is placed on the table, ready for the next customer.
Our toilets are cleaned and checked every hour during trading hours.
Smoke-Free
We have adopted a no smoking policy in our garden and would ask that guests that wish to smoke to do so at the front of the building.
Children
Please make sure children are seated at all times. If they need to leave the table, please ensure they are accompanied by an adult.
Ordering
We will be encouraging our guests to order from their table using their phones. Once payment is processed, the order will go straight through to the bar and the kitchen, and we will then deliver the food and the drinks to your table, removing the need for customers to leave the table.

Payments
We will no longer be accepting cash payments.
Our loyalty scheme is currently not operational, but we hope to have it back up and running as soon as possible.
Moving Forward
As time goes on, we aim to re-introduce many of the things that you loved about The Plough. Please bear with us as we continue to adapt to accommodate and comply with government requirements.
